You can compute growth of a certain metric using the keyword “Growth”. This compares the value of the metric between two dates, and displays either the absolute or percentage value of the increase of decrease. Same as with other keywords, AnswerDock understands synonyms and you can use any of the growth keyword synonyms:

Growth of metric comparing between two dates
For computing growth between two dates, you can use the compare keyword “Vs” to separate the two dates. Your question will take the form of :

Alternatively, if you do not mention any dates, AnswerDock will take the default date period for the dataset and compare it to the previous equivalent period.

Growth of metric over a time interval
If you combine the growth keyword with an interval keyword (e.g. monthly), you can compute growth over a period of time for each interval value. For example

Note that you can add dimensions to any of the above examples to get the growth by each segment of the mentioned dimension, for example:

Sorting by Growth
You can also use the top/bottom keyword to rank segments of a certain dimension by their growth. Also you can compute growth for number of records rather than a metric, as below:
- Top growing categories in number of orders this month
- Least growing teams in leads this month
