Tip #3: Default Date filter

If your dataset is large, AnswerDock will limit the data returned by adding a default date filter. This ensures that the data is retrieved fast enough. You can override the default date by explicitly defining a date for your search.

For example, if you have a large dataset (millions of records) and you search for

Revenue by Category

AnswerDock will default the date for your search to the latest month or week, depending on the nature of your data in terms of volume and frequency of updates. AnswerDock will show the default date limit in the answer subtitle. You can override this by adding a date of your own, for example.

Revenue by Category This year

To see the results for all time, you can add a very wide date filter such as

Revenue by Category Since 2010

Checkout the date filters section to learn more about the available date filter keywords you can use in AnswerDock
